Flying Clodhopper

Chris Burnham, an old Indymagger from my college days, has a great online cartoon: Jimbo the Flying Clodhopper. He sure has come a long way from BMOC and Freshman Joe.

I think we [PJ Doland Web Design] will have to work with him in the future. Maybe I can pitch something really hip to one of my clients in the Libertarian movement?

Soothing Voice

I’m up late tonight working. As usual, my soundtrack is a (GASP) audiobook.

Tonight I’m listening to The Body Artist by Don DeLillo. Actually, I’m just listening to Laurie Anderson’s voice. It’s so damn soothing. What more do you need to relax?

A.I. Trailer

Saw a trailer for A.I. online. I must admit that it looks very, very cool. Hopefully Spielberg will deliver. I must admit that I was more than a little concerned when I learned that Kubrick was working on this for for over a decade and Spielberg finished it in less than a year.

If you’re interested in finding out what the movie’s about you can read “Super-Toys Last All Summer Long,” by Brian Aldiss. It’s the short story that the movie is based on.

Hopefully this will be of Blade Runner quality.

The Falco-Man

I hired CJ Hellwig recently. He’s awesome. In fact, he’s the Falco-man.
